16" Heavy Baby and 12" Little Baby Kits

Fill your own Heavy Baby with millet and it will bring a subtle quality of weight and warmth to the child who plays with it. Heavy Baby kit is for those with beginning to average sewing experience. This is a rounded, sac-bottom doll (no legs).
Millet has a wonderful, rolling feel that adds to the sensation this doll has. No other grain or natural stuffing medium will offer the same.
Kits include the patterns and instruction booklet for both the 12/13" and 16" size dolls, organic cotton skintone knit, tubular stockinette, Eco-wool stuffing, inner muslin bunting fabric, 80/20 cotton Velour or Organic cotton sherpa outer bunting fabric, elastic, craft threads and eyes and mouth embroidery floss.
Velour colors:
Burgandy(top left), Sky Blue, Pink, Organic Natural Sherpa, Crimson Red, Denim Blue, Haystack Yellow and Orange
The Natural Organic Cotton Sherpa(fleece type fabric) is off-white.
You will need: millet(food grade), lavender essential oil, machine sewing thread for the muslin inner body and Velour or Sherpa colored sewing thread. 3" and 5" dollmaker's needles, our machine needles, embroidery needles found in our Supplies pages.

I wanted to thank you for making "Heavy Baby"! This doll was such a huge aide in transitioning our 18 month old from our bed to her crib. Zoe was worn by us (in a sling) all day as an infant and any other times that she was not playing or napping once she got older. She also slept with us, so we heard many horror stories about what was sure to happen once we switched her to her own bed. "Heavy" however, made this transition so smooth and natural. For 2 weeks, we did what Joy suggested, and heated Heavy up to sleep with Zoe during naps and at nighttime and after that we didn't even heat her, we just layed her in bed with Zoe and she settled right in! (Heavy will take on the body heat of your child and keep him/her warm and snuggly!)Zoe is now 4 (and loving her own room and bed---and still sleeping with Heavy!) and has a new little sister:) So, for Piper's first Christmas, there really isn't a better gift than her very own Heavy!

..... The first thing he did was sort of heft the doll around. It is a beautiful doll and smells just wonderful! This morning when he got up he smelled so good! His hair all fuzzy and he really smelled yummy!
