The Button Children's arms and legs are button jointed allowing for different poses, the ability to sit without assistance and to stand when posed just right. This is a shapely doll with a little bum and lovely legs and feet.

Follow along with the clear, step by step instructions. Our kits include a pattern for the doll, clothes, full wigmaking instructions for this size doll, skintone knit fabric, hair yarn (for those who wish to crochet a cap wig) or a pre-made wig, Eco-wool stuffing, tubular stockinette, craft thread, string, hair colord thread, eye and mouth color floss, 4 buttons and a plain chopstick for stuffing. (Clothing fabric is not included)

This is a kit for those with some dollmaking experience.  As a rule, one can finish this doll in a short amount of time once the stringing is understood as there is less hand sewing. This doll needs to be made very firm in order to hold the stringing and I highly suggest my Stuffing Tool to achieve this.

You will need 5" and 3" dollmaking needles, embroidery needles, machine needles, pins, and to ease stuffing your doll, Joy's Expert Stuffing Tool. These can be purchased in our supplies section. As well as Skintone Thread for those cutting and sewing up the body parts.

I just want to thank you for your wonderful doll kits. I have never made a doll before and your supplies and instructions were first rate....We also made quite a few clothes form your doll clothing pattern book... I'm sure that starting with the (2)Button dolls is not the usual route, but it was important to my daughter that the dolls be able to sit and stand. I did need to redo my button joints, but now they are nice and tight. As a first timer I couldn't get my mind around the button instructions, but I just followed them step by step and everything worked out. Being able to order the premade heads and your absolutely gorgeous wigs took out much of the stress that probably would have prevented me form even attempting this project.....last night I tucked them into bed with my kids after they were asleep, and we had a really exciting morning!
