Sorry, we are no longer taking orders. Patterns/kits will be available next year, 2010 through our licensed distributors. Our Baby Companion Doll's separate limbs are sewn together for firmness and stability. This is a very satisfying doll to make even though I feel it is the most difficult. If one can really curb the tendency to over-stuffing, then, all will be well. Baby Companion is a doll that can take being slept all over and dragged everywhere. It is easy to repair, so you won't be bothered as much as with a button-jonited doll. This baby will need many baths in the sink with luke-warm water!
Follow along with the clear, step by step instructions. Our kits include a pattern for the doll, clothes and wig instructions for shorter hairstyles for this size doll, organic skintone knit fabric, hair yarn (for those who wish to crochet a cap wig) or a pre-made wig, Eco-wool stuffing, tubular stockinette, craft thread, string, hair colored thread, eye and mouth color floss, and a plain chopstick for stuffing. (Clothing fabric is not included)
You will need 5" and 3" dollmaking needles, embroidery needles, machine needles, pins, and to ease stuffing your doll, Joy's Expert Stuffing Tool. These can be purchased in our supplies section. As well as Skintone Thread for those cutting and sewing up the body parts.
